Our Mission

We are a group of people from the Gardner community who desire to live with shared purpose to offer hope to the people around us. We believe that hope is found in Jesus.

At Hope Mission Gardner, we offer hope in Jesus through preaching grounded in God’s word, worship focused on content rather than style, and Sunday morning classes for people from birth through adults.

The mission of Blue Valley is to glorify God by helping people everywhere understand what it means to follow Jesus using the Five Habits of a Jesus Follower. As a mission planted by BVC, we’re reaching Gardner with the same goal.

5 Habits of a Jesus Follower

  • Surrender

    I will daily submit to Jesus as my King.

    The Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.  For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."  Matthew 16: 24-25 ESV

  • Sustain

    I will discipline myself to experience God’s transforming power.

    And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:42 ESV

  • Sacrifice

    I will offer my life to God and people beyond what is comfortable.

    I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1 ESV

  • Shine

    I will reflect the life of Christ as I engage the cultures around me.

    In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven. Matthew 5:16 ESV

  • Share

    I will share my story of Jesus where God positions me.

    And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
